Exam Review
I was happy
to hear that Mohammad’s speaking final exam went well along with a few of the
other final exams he had to take. He told me that he scored one of the highest
grades in grammar and I could tell he took great pride in that accomplishment.
In this particular tutoring session, Mohammad brought a traditional middle
eastern snack, similar to a hummus spread with a few pieces of bread. He was so
excited to share this experience with me and it made our tutoring session that
much more enjoyable. As I talked about in previous blogs, I always leave
Mohammad with common English phrases that I make him say and use in the
following sessions. Today’s phrases were “What’s up?” and “Congrats!” or “Congratulations!”
These are two works I have noticed I had been using so much when congratulating
him on his exam or saying hello. This was a perfect opportunity to bring useful
knowledge into our sessions.
