TS Final Victoria Jones

Tutoring Session #11-16 Date: Spring 2018 Topic/Skill: IMC Program At the end of the fall semester, my fall conversation partner Ailin, reached out to me about her acceptance into the IMC Master’s program. I am currently a second semester student in the IMC program. This truly has made this tutoring and conversation partner experience come together because I can now help Ailin apply her English skills to the classroom. For the spring 2018 semester, we both share a Research Methods course. Ailin expressed her anxiety about the lecture style course. Our professor is 70 years old and typically speaks in a lower tone of voice. Additionally, he is from Kentucky and has a relatively strong southern accent. Since the start of the semester I have compared my notes with Ailin’s to fill in any gaps of confusion she may have.
