Topic/Skill: Reading

During this session I provided short stories for Salem to read. I had about 7 short stories for him to read. While reading he did not have any trouble pronouncing the words. When we went over what he had just read is when I realized that he had no idea what he was reading even though he could pronounce everything perfectly. After the first story I started to ask Salem what he thought the parts of the story was about and to explain to me what the story was about. This helped dramatically, because he started to read and also absorb what he was reading
