Topic/Skill: Reading and Writing

During this session Henry had a passage that he had to read and also follow up questions for the passage. When I saw what he was doing I immediately thought of SQ3R. I had him look through the passage at the underlined vocabulary and also at the topic sentences of all of the paragraphs and had him tell me what he thought the passage was going to be about. I then had Henry look through all of the questions to know what he was looking for in the passage. We then read the passage together. After finishing the passage I had Henry tell me what the passage was about in his own words. We then went back and answered all of the questions.
