Dunkin Donuts
Topic/Skill: Fahad had a few homework assignments that I worked on with him, which went over simple present verbs, vocabulary, plural nouns, and the pronunciation of these forms.
Feedback Provided: A lot of the feedback I gave Fahad had to do with forming the "s" form of the simple present tense and forming plural nouns, specifically when their form was a bit trickier: words that require you to add an "es" or "ies" to make them plural. For example, if he had already formed the word "catches" then I would relate that to the word "matches."
Lessons about Tutoring: Fahad can often fall into the trap taking the easy way out, thinking he knows a topic or skill but not being able to perform it. I also have a tendency to go along with whatever the student wants. However, this time when he would say that he knew how to do an activity, I would tell him to still try and show me that he can, and he would realize that he actually struggled with it. Knowing this about both of our personalities will definitely be useful in future tutoring sessions with him and future students.
